Midweek Message ~ January 8th, 2020
Have you ever been stuck in the mud? I mean really stuck and you knew there was no way you could get out by yourself? What did you do? You likely had to ask for help.
This is a picture of how life can be sometimes. We are stuck in a situation, we are tired of trying, and we don’t know how to fix it. We make mistakes in life and we feel like there is no way out. What can we do? Do what David did.
David cried out to God for help. Listen to his words in Psalms 69:1-2, “Save me O God. for the floodwaters are up to my neck. Deeper and deeper I sink into the mire, I can’t find a foothold.” Now listen to David’s words in Psalms 40:1-3, “I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God.”
If you feel stuck or mired down with life, cry out to Jesus. If you get a chance, click the YouTube link below and listen to the song “Cry Out to Jesus” by Third Day. There is hope, there is help, there is redemption. Change can happen. Cry out to the one who made you. God heard David’s cry. He will hear yours, too.
God bless and “Keep Spurring.”
