Midweek Message ~ 05-13-2020

May 13th, 2020 ~ Midweek MessagePastor Louis SneedYesterday, I was asking the Lord what message He wanted me to give this coming Sunday as we gather back together after two months of being separated. I opened my NLT Bible and began to read out of the Old Testament in the book of Deuteronomy Chapter 12 which has the heading of "The Lord's Chosen Place of Worship." How about that? The Israelites are about to cross the Jordan River into the promised land and God gives Moses some instructions for the people. He says God will choose the place where His name will be honored. He tells them it will be a place of confession of sins, a place to praise God. It will be a place where they can celebrate together in fellowship as they feast together and it will be a place the can bring their tithes and offerings. It seems to me that Moses instructions for his people are instructions that would be good for us to follow. We can worship God just about anywhere but there is great value in meeting together as a church family. I look forward to seeing all of you as we come back this Sunday. The writer of Hebrews 10:25 says, "And let us not neglect our meeting together as some people do, but encourage one another, especially as the day of His return is drawing near." God Bless, Take Care and "Keep Spurring each other on." Louis

Midweek Message ~ May 13th, 2020

Yesterday, I was asking the Lord what message He wanted me to give this coming Sunday as we gather back together after two months of being separated.  I opened my NLT Bible and began to read out of the Old Testament in the book of Deuteronomy Chapter 12 which has the heading of “The Lord’s Chosen Place of Worship.” How about that?

The Israelites are about to cross the Jordan River into the promised land  and God gives Moses some instructions for the people.  He says God will choose the place where His name will be honored.  He tells them it will be a place of confession of sins, a place to praise God. It will be a place where they can celebrate together in fellowship as they feast together and it will be a place the can bring their tithes and offerings. It seems to me that Moses instructions for his people are instructions that would be good for us to follow.  We can worship God just about anywhere but there is great value in meeting together as a church family.

I look forward to seeing all of you as we come back this Sunday.  The writer of Hebrews 10:25 says, “And let us not neglect our meeting together as some people do, but encourage one another, especially as the day of His return is drawing near.”

God Bless, Take Care and “Keep Spurring each other on.”
