It’s the day before Thanksgiving. I’m sure the grocery stores are full with those getting their last minute items to finish the big meal so we can eat too much and then go to sleep watching football. Seriously though, Thanksgiving is much more than that.
We have a lot to be thankful for, but I know there are those who are going through though times right now and are struggling to find something to be thankful for. Don’t feel guilty, God knows what you are going through. David wrote in Psalms 28: 7, ” The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart trust in Him and I am helped. Psalms 46: 1 says, “God is my refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble.” If you can, listen to the song, “God on the mountain.” and be thankful that God is with you and you are not alone in your struggles. Here are some of the words: “God on the Mountain is the God in the Valley. God in the good times is still God in the bad times. Life is easy when your up on the mountain, but things change when you’re down in the valley. Don’t lose faith, your are never alone.”
Today, I give thanks to all of you who have made my life better and I give thanks to God for being with me in the good times and in the times I struggle.
God bless and see you Sunday.
