Midweek Message 9/18/2019

There is a quote that says, ” We don’t know the value of water until the well goes dry.”   I think you would agree that  we take so much for granted.  When was the last time we were thankful for the air we breath? When was the last time we gave God thanks for our sight?  It must be difficult to live life without sight.  Have you ever closed your eyes and tried walking through your home?  When someone is blind they never see the faces of their loved ones.  They don’t get to see the mountains or a rainbow or the leaves as they change colors in the fall. Being physically blind is a challenge,  but being spiritually blind is tragic.  John wrote this:  ” Despite the miraculous signs Jesus had done, most of the people still did not believe in Him. (John 12: 37).  They saw the miracles,  but their hearts were blinded.   Jesus told Thomas, ” You believe because you have seen,  blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.  Paul wrote this to the church in Corinth:  “”We live by faith not sight.”   (II Corinthians 5: 7)   Faith is believing without seeing.  Faith gives us hope.  Faith gets us through life with all of it’s challenges, knowing that heaven waits for us.

God bless you all and “Keep Spurring each other on.”  Louis
