MISSION:

The Parker County Cowboy Church is called to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all whom God gives us the opportunity. We want to assure the message of salvation through the redemptive work of Christ is conveyed to all. We desire to help those in their daily journey with Jesus Christ to strengthen and enrich their walk. We want to help those who identify with Christ and desire to serve to recognize their calling, talents and gifts and provide them a place to use them in service to the Lord. We desire to be a church that follows the teachings of Jesus in Matthew 28:16-20 and Mark 16:15-18 (The Great Commission)..

FUNDAMENTAL BELIEFS:
  1. The Bible is the Inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to man.
    • (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Peter 2:2; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 1 Thessalonians 2:13)

  2. One true God revealed in three persons. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
    • (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29; Isaiah 43:10-12; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22)

  3. The deity of Jesus Christ as God’s son, Jesus was both human and Divine.

  4. Man, his fall into sin and Salvation through Jesus Christ.

  5. Ordinances of the Church: (1) Water Baptism by full immersion upon repentance and acceptance of Christ gift of salvation. (2) Holy Communion (The Lord’s Supper) a symbolic remembrance of Christ suffering and death for our salvation.

  12. The Sanctity of Human Life.

These 12 Fundamental Beliefs do not exhaust the extent of our faith and beliefs. The Bible is sole and final authority of all that we believe, however we feel the forgoing Core Beliefs accurately represent the teaching of the Bible.

We desire to follow the pattern Jesus used in developing his disciples:

Meaningful CONNECTIONS with people:

  • Establish relationships.
  • Develop a bond.
  • Earn trust.
  • Open hearts and minds to communicate.

Cultivate open and honest COMMUNICATIONS:

  • Concerning spiritual matters.
  • Concerning personal matters.
  • Concerning matters of the church.
  • Concerning matters currently affecting the world.

DISCIPLING to make a difference:

  • Teaching people the depth of their calling to be a follower of Christ.
  • Teach skills for effective Bible study.
  • Helping to develop a powerful prayer life.
  • Introducing the Helper, sent by God.
  • Helping to understand the Helpers role in their daily lives.

Create a SERVANT’S heart:

  • Developing a culture of others before self.
  • Broken for the lost and less fortunate among us.
  • Desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
  • Helping them to identify their callings and talents (Gifts).
  • Encourage involvement with the ministries of the church as well as ministries within our community.
